Bremen Airport UFO incident

Record summary

A bright unidentified object was reportedly observed near Bremen Airport, prompting unusual air-traffic activity, police attention and temporary disruption to arriving or departing flights. Contemporary accounts describe an object that was difficult to classify visually and may also have appeared on radar, although the exact radar record and observer identities require checking. The incident is notable because it was reported by civilian aviation personnel rather than only private witnesses. Later retellings differ substantially about duration, altitude and whether the object was ever identified.
