Stephenville UFO wave

Record summary

Residents around Stephenville reported large, bright or silent objects during a concentrated period in late 2007 and early 2008. Witnesses included pilots, police officers and local citizens, and the reports drew national media attention. Some observers described objects moving near or alongside aircraft, while others supplied sketches or video. The Air Force later said military training activity had occurred in the region, and several reports were reinterpreted as aircraft or other conventional lights. Disagreement over timelines and witness accounts keeps the episode an active research lead.
