The Lives of Alcyone

Record summary

The Lives of Alcyone, associated with Annie Besant and C. W. Leadbeater, presents supposed past-life narratives involving spiritual teachers, Masters, and hierarchical beings. Its South Asian relevance lies in its publication and institutional context at Adyar, where Western esotericism was recast through Indian religious ideas. It may help compare reincarnation, celestial intermediaries, and sacred biography. The work is controversial within and outside Theosophy, and its claimed clairvoyant method is not accepted as historical verification. Edition, authorship, and editorial attribution should be checked directly.
