1991 Tainan UFO encounter reports

Record summary

A Tainan-area case is cited in some Taiwanese UFO catalogues as a close observation of an unusual object, with later retellings sometimes linking the sighting to apparent occupants or beings. It is potentially useful for examining how local Chinese-language case files were translated into broader UFO literature. The incident is much less securely documented than internationally famous close encounters, and the remembered date and entity component may reflect conflation with another Taiwanese report. Researchers should establish whether a contemporaneous newspaper, society bulletin, or interview exists.
