Lake İznik monster video reports

Record summary

Reports from Lake İznik have described an apparent large animal or serpentine form visible in the water, usually through amateur video or photographs. The lead matters because Lake İznik is a heavily visited, archaeologically important lake where unusual underwater objects, wakes, and seasonal conditions can quickly become cryptid stories. It also offers a comparison with Turkish lake cases in which local reporting precedes systematic investigation. The exact source, date, and identity of the original filmer need checking; many online versions may be cropped, reposted, or captioned without provenance.
