Record summary

AI-recalled discovery lead; source quality 5 and corroboration 0. The Cryptid Zoo reference entry for Kongamato provides a searchable route into the creature’s reported name, geographic association and commonly cited historical sources. It matters because web reference pages often preserve bibliographic clues that can be checked against books, colonial records and travel accounts. The entry should be treated only as an index, not as evidence. Investigators should reconstruct the chain of transmission and determine whether alleged sightings are independent or derived from the same early report.
