2010 West Midlands UFO sightings and police reports

Record summary

British media and UFO-reporting organizations described a cluster of unusual lights and objects reported across Birmingham and the wider West Midlands during 2010. The reports are potentially useful for comparing how a local “wave” is assembled from heterogeneous witness accounts, aviation activity, astronomy and online amplification. The exact number, dates and contents of reports are uncertain, and the episode does not constitute a single verified event. Researchers should distinguish contemporaneous witness testimony from later summaries and investigate conventional explanations for individual sightings.
