Minot Air Force Base UFO Reports

Record summary

Minot Air Force Base was one of several Strategic Air Command installations associated with unusual-object reports during October 1975. Accounts describe observations near restricted areas and references to radar or other security information, making the episode useful for studying how unidentified targets were handled around nuclear facilities. The surviving documentation is fragmented, and different narratives merge multiple dates, witnesses, and locations. Comparison with Air Force messages, FOIA releases, and later investigative reconstructions is necessary before assigning a single coherent event.
