Westall school UFO incident

Record summary

Students and staff at Westall High School and Westall Primary School reportedly watched an unusual object descend or hover near a grassed area adjoining the schools. The incident became a major Australian UFO case through later witness interviews, documentaries, and local investigations. It offers a comparison between modern communal sky narratives and older stories of celestial visitors, while also illustrating memory transmission across decades. The event’s details remain contested: witness numbers, object shape, landing claims, and alleged official responses vary substantially, and no contemporaneous physical evidence has established an extraordinary cause.
