Record summary
Originally serialized in Arya, The Synthesis of Yoga discusses spiritual planes, divine powers, guides, and beings encountered during yogic transformation. It provides a clearly identifiable South Asian source for comparing intermediary-agent concepts with Christian angelology, Theosophical masters, and Buddhist protectors. The text is prescriptive and interpretive, not a record of controlled observation. Publication dates are complicated because the essays appeared over several years and the commonly cited standalone edition is later than the requested period. Researchers should consult the original Arya installments.
