SS Rotterdam paranormal reports

Record summary

The permanently moored SS Rotterdam has been the subject of hotel, tour, and paranormal accounts describing footsteps, voices, shadow figures, and alleged apparitions. The vessel’s conversion from liner to hotel creates a particularly useful comparison with museum ships because guests occupy former passenger and crew spaces under ordinary overnight conditions. The reports are generally anecdotal and may be shaped by the ship’s atmosphere, dark corridors, and maritime history. Exact witnesses, dates, and locations should be reconstructed from Dutch media, hotel material, and investigation records.
