The Unarius Academy of Science and the Starships of the 1970s

Record summary

The Unarius Academy of Science, associated with Ernest and Ruth Norman and later leaders, taught an esoteric cosmology involving spiritually advanced beings, reincarnation, planetary evolution, and anticipated contact with space visitors. Its California headquarters and 1970s–1980s teachings provide a specific North American setting for comparing UFO narratives with apocalyptic renewal and religious ascent. The tradition is documented through movement publications and archives, but its claims about extraterrestrial civilizations are not independently verified. Researchers should distinguish institutional doctrine from individual visionary reports and later media summaries.
