Record summary
Freetown’s former Government House, associated with colonial administration and later state power, has been mentioned in local and travel narratives concerning a lingering presence or unusual nighttime activity. The building’s political history is identifiable, but the paranormal claims are less securely catalogued and may overlap with broader stories about historic Freetown residences. This lead could support comparison of elite houses, colonial memory and postcolonial urban folklore. Verification requires locating the exact building, its periods of occupancy and sources that name specific witnesses or dates.
