The SS Great Britain paranormal investigations

Record summary

The restored SS Great Britain has been included in ghost-tour and paranormal media coverage, with reports of footsteps, voices, apparitions and unusual sensations aboard the ship and in adjacent dry-dock spaces. It is relevant for comparison because the vessel is a major public museum whose restoration, hull enclosure and visitor infrastructure can shape acoustic and visual experiences. The ship’s engineering and migration history are well documented, but the haunting material is usually retrospective and anecdotal. Researchers should seek named witnesses, dated investigations and any museum response rather than relying on listicles.
