Peruvian Air Force La Joya Object

Record summary

Peruvian aviation and UFO literature describe a 2004 report involving an unusual object observed by military personnel near La Joya, a major air base in southern Peru. The lead is relevant to comparison because it concerns trained observers, an air-defense environment, and a location connected to Pacific-facing military operations. Public details about the date, aircraft, sensor data, and official handling are uneven. Researchers should establish whether the report was formally investigated and what conventional explanations were considered before drawing parallels with better-documented naval cases.
