Record summary
Former personnel associated with Malmstrom Air Force Base described unidentified objects near missile facilities and alleged temporary missile shutdowns. The reports became prominent in literature about UFOs and nuclear weapons, especially through interviews collected by Robert Hastings and other investigators. Their comparative value lies in the interaction between strategic secrecy, witness memory and claims of technological interference. Documentation is uneven, and some frequently cited incidents belong to 1967 rather than the requested period, so dates and source provenance require strict checking.
