Papua New Guinea UFO reports

Record summary

Papua New Guinea is represented in international UFO databases by scattered reports of lights or objects, especially around Port Moresby and populated coastal areas, during the late twentieth and early twenty-first centuries. The material may support comparison of reporting infrastructures, colonial and missionary vocabulary, aviation access, and the difference between local observation and later database classification. It is not a single securely identified case. Researchers should find the underlying newspaper, witness statement, or investigator record before assigning a date, location, or encounter type.
