Record summary
A related strand of Chinese coverage concerns investigators from the China UFO Research Organization examining reports around Phoenix Mountain and nearby Heilongjiang locations. Accounts sometimes describe a large object, unusual marks, and possible humanoid figures, but the case is not a single uniformly documented encounter. It is useful for studying how a regional report was consolidated into a canonical UFO narrative through magazines, organizational newsletters, and later books. The division between contemporary witness material, investigator interpretation, and retrospective folklore remains uncertain.
