Record summary
A short infrared video showing a small, apparently spherical object was presented by AARO director Sean Kirkpatrick during a 2023 Senate hearing and was associated in reporting with operations near Mosul, Iraq. The clip became a prominent modern Middle Eastern UAP reference because analysts debated whether the object displayed unusual motion or was simply an ordinary object viewed from a moving aircraft. Its exact collection circumstances, sensor metadata, and identification remain limited in public material. It is best treated as an unresolved video-analysis lead, not evidence of extraordinary technology.
