Prato 1954 UFO Reports

Record summary

Prato, near Florence, is linked in Italian UFO histories to reports during the October 1954 wave, including accounts of luminous objects and unusual fibrous material sometimes called “angel hair.” The lead matters because it permits comparison of a localized cluster with the better-known Florence stadium event and with contemporary European wave reporting. The reports’ exact chronology, witness independence and physical-material provenance are uncertain. Conventional explanations involving airborne biological or industrial fibers, as well as meteorological effects, require direct documentary review.
