1966 Indonesia UFO Reports

Record summary

Indonesian flying-saucer reports from the mid-1960s appear in international UFO compilations, sometimes associated with Jakarta or other major population centers. They may be useful for studying translation, press circulation, and the interaction between local religious or supernatural vocabularies and imported “UFO” categories. The remembered material does not establish one named incident, a reliable witness list, or an official investigation. Researchers should search Indonesian newspapers and periodicals using terms such as piring terbang and benda terbang aneh, then preserve each report’s original wording.
