Record summary
The Ethiopian Book of the Mysteries of Heaven and Earth, known in Ge'ez as Mashafa Mestir Samay Wamedr, combines biblical interpretation, cosmology, angelology, natural lore, and esoteric instruction. It offers a concrete source for studying how hidden knowledge, celestial signs, dreams, and spiritual intermediaries were organized in Ethiopian Christian intellectual culture. The text is not a record of tested psi abilities. Attribution, dating, manuscript variation, and the boundaries between theological, magical, and cosmological material differ across editions and require consultation of Ethiopic scholarship.
