The 2014 Toowoomba Range yowie reports

Record summary

Reports associated with the Toowoomba Range around 2014 describe a large, hairy figure or unexplained movement seen near forest roads and escarpment country. This lead is useful because it sits at the boundary between urban expansion, heavily trafficked roads, and remnant habitat, allowing comparison with other Australian roadside yowie claims. The source trail may include radio discussion, local reporting, and investigator interviews rather than a formal case file. Researchers should establish whether the reports are independent and whether lighting, livestock, or human activity provide simpler explanations.
