Record summary
Cuba’s national literacy campaign mobilized students and young volunteers to teach across rural areas, producing intense reports of identity change, collective purpose, exhaustion, fear and political transformation. Although not a psi case, it is a concrete altered-consciousness comparison lead for examining suggestion, group identity, visionary language and socially induced changes in self-understanding. The archival record includes official memoirs, photographs and later scholarship, but propaganda and retrospective political framing are substantial. It should not be recast as paranormal mass consciousness.
