2000 Lebanese UFO reports

Record summary

Reports of unusual lights over Lebanon and Beirut around the turn of the millennium occur in UFO databases and popular regional accounts. Lebanon’s dense urban setting, mountainous horizons and extensive civil and military aviation make the reports potentially useful for studying perception, horizon geometry and media transmission. No single verified instrumented case is securely identified in memory. Researchers should separate individual witness accounts, find contemporaneous Lebanese or Arabic-language coverage, and check whether supposed objects were planets, aircraft, flares, fireworks or atmospheric lights.
