Source passage
Source text · mention onlyE. P. Le Flohic, on whose plates curious streaks of light were obtained, in a dark room. Since then, I have discussed the matter at some length with Mr. Le Flohic, and I am more than ever convinced that no conscious trickery was involved in the production of these pictures; I have also examined the _negatives_ (plates), and am prepared to state that no external markings are upon them, and that they have not been tampered with in any way. In other words, the lights were undoubtedly _in the room_ at the time the plates were exposed. Yet no one saw anything unusual! It is a curious and baffling case.
