Kallamishtëz bright-object report

Record summary

What happened Residents of Kallamishtëz in Albania’s Kurvelesh region reportedly saw a bright object in the sky during 1963. Albanian authorities identified the object as a new jet aircraft being used by the Albanian Air Force. Evidence The packet contains a short Wikipedia excerpt indexed from a list of reported UFO sightings. It records a residents’ report and attributes a jet-aircraft identification to Albanian authorities. No original witness statements, official announcement, aircraft information, photographs, flight records, or contemporaneous press material is included. Explanations considered The only explanation supplied is the Albanian authorities’ identification of the bright object as a new Albanian Air Force jet plane. The excerpt does not provide enough observational or technical detail to assess that identification independently, nor does it offer another explanation. What remains uncertain This packet does not establish the object’s appearance beyond brightness, its duration, direction, altitude, number of observers, or the basis for the authorities’ aircraft identification. It cannot determine whether the report was independently documented or whether the reported object was anomalous. Primary source Kallamishtez UFO incident — Wikipedia reported-sighting index
